These are 15 of 200 pages in the book. There are photographs from a wide variety of music genres/artists.
My book is now available on Amazon and direct from me. It has 200 pages with over 600 Color and B&W photograph.
Also, Music Industry friends have written great stories about their music experiences.
This took over two years, seven days a week to complete.
There where thousands of negatives and slides to go through one at a time, then scanning and correcting the images.
"We’ve been photographed Millions of times by thousands of photographers. Leo had a wry, subversive sense of humour that really
resonated with the band. We always looked forward to working with him at backstage meet and greets, and he
captured some of the greatest live moments of our career. Sold out shows at Boston Garden, to Royal Albert Hall.
He was an excellent craftsman, but also a lovely guy to hang out with."

Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2021 I really love photography and music, and Leo Gozbekian’s All Access Concert and Backstage Photos gave me all that and more. It took me through a rocking five decades-long journey of some of the largest names in Rock&Roll, R&B, Pop, country, etc. It was a journey I loved with every flip of the page.
Every photo, be it black & white or color, I am transported with this all-access pass into a musical history that truly only a few people have had the privilege of having access to under one concert, much less over decades and with hundreds of acts.
Who's in the book? Well, everyone. The Who to NKOTB (did I really put them into the same sentence?) Cher to Britney Spears and Beyoncé, Guns & Roses to Tony Bennett, Aerosmith & Run DMC, Alicia Keys, Queen, Little Richard, Tina Turner, The Bee Gees, Kanye West, Snoop Dog, and beautiful layout of David Bowie, just to name a handful of artists. You name them and they are all here, and way more, in this 600+ original photos historical book in the music industry.
Woven into this book of uniquely magical photos, are stories from those that are (or were) in the industry who clearly had a good time remembering the rollicking stories of artists that they themselves highlighted (David Bowie and Robert Palmer come to mind), and who also sprinkled in a few surprising memories of the author himself. The author, Gozbekian, also chimed in with a few memories of his early profound experiences of photographing these larger-than-life bands, and solo artists, starting with his first ever professional photos of The Who in 1971.
The thing that I would have liked was if I could have tapped on each photo and I could have gotten a soundtrack for each artist. Ah, living in the digital age! As it was I found myself singing songs from my memory that each photo had evoked. Maybe for the second edition, they can work on an iPad/phone version. Ha!
In the meantime, I’ll be hitting my iTunes playlist while purchasing a few copies for friends who would enjoy this photo essay of musical artists for the holidays (and maybe a few birthday presents as well).
